Concurrent Students Concurrent Students What is the maximum amount of credit hours I can take each semester? Students can take up to 6 credits each semester of their junior and senior year in high school, a maximum of 24 credit hours total. How much does each class cost per credit hour? Each concurrent class costs $100 per credit hour. Which classes can I take? Concurrent students can take any 100 or 200 level course as long as it doesn’t require pre-requisites. Can I take online courses? Yes, the concurrent program works in conjunction with the Distance Learning program and those classes are available as well. Can I apply online for the Concurrent program? The application can be found online, however you will need to download and print it off in order to complete it. What else is needed for my Concurrent application? Along with your application, ORU requires a high school approval form (included in application), $35 application fee and your high school transcript. How soon am I eligible for the Concurrent program? High School Juniors and Seniors are eligible for the Concurrent program. Can I take a concurrent course over the summer? Yes, as long as you have not yet graduated from high school. You can take up to 6 credit hours during the summer.
