/ What if I stop attending classes and forget to withdraw?

Print Friendly

If you do not complete at least one course in a semester with a passing grade, you will be treated as an unofficial withdrawal from ORU. Your withdrawal date will be either the last date of academic activity (as documented by the Institution) or the midpoint of the semester.

Your Financial Aid was awarded based on the expectation that you would complete the entire semester. Therefore, you may not be eligible for all of the funds awarded/disbursed to you. Financial Aid is required by the U.S. Department of Education to perform a return of funds calculation. Federal aid that was disbursed or eligible for disbursement at the time of withdrawal is prorated based on the number of days you attended out of the total number of days in the semester. We will notify you via ORU email of any balance owed or refund available within 45 days of your withdrawal date.
